New Orleans

We enjoyed New Orleans. Visited the French Quarter and stayed in an RV site pretty close (Ponchartrain Landing).. We did red bus tour around city and a haunted city tour which was history mixed with spooky stuff. We learned a lot.

The Natchez was docked for repair just across the channel. Mark has been on the Natchez. We were disappointed we couldn’t. But the view was really great.

My first plate of shrimp on our trip. Cajun shrimp that was spicy but just right. Super good at Cafe Pontalba (Creole Cajun food).

The street music was good and uplifting. Haven’t seen any live music in so long. Yes, they got a good tip. Later we came back and met another performer playing flute. We talked for a while. Amazing fun day.

Bad photo of me, but wanted to find the Krispy Krunchy Chicken store. It’s so good. My Krispy Krunchy Chicken hat is covered by my sunglasses… fool. Is the Krispy Krunchy Chicken guy related to Ronald McDonald?

Not a great photo of the St. Louis Cathedral, but you can see how busy things were in April 2021. Things easing up slowly after Covid. We had Beignets and coffee and Cafe Du Mont. Was fun and a tasty quick bite. We picked up some Beignets after our haunted New Orleans tour for the next day. No…. they have to be fresh.

Haunted New Orleans tour. Small shuttle and group. We visited several cemeteries. Holt Cemetery, “Potters Field” was really interesting. Bury your own… anywhere. What? The impact of Katrina and yellow fever.
