Houmas House Plantation
We loved the plantation. 600 year old oaks. Beautiful home. Levee on the Mississippi River across on a boardwalk. There was a giant plantation of sugar cane many years ago. Now only the home, museum, gardens etc. remain. We camped in their parking lot as they are Harvest Host providers. We enjoyed their fancy private Turtle Bar. Their gardens, fountains and statues made this a perfect location to hang out. We watched the movie filmed here. Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte. Betty Davis.
