White Sands

Wow, White Sands National Park in New Mexico was a strange site to see. Seeing everything in white, I kept thinking it was snow, but it was very hot. So a bit confusing. We stayed at Boot Hill campground in Alamagordo across from a Pistachio farm with the “largest pistachio in the world”. We visited White Sands National Park and also did a tour of the Pistachio farm. I got a big bag of pistachios that were delicious… I can’t look at pistachio right now.

Sharon took this photo on a hike we did. Came out really interesting… no, there’s no snow.

I made sure not to burden myself with a bottle of water.

The tour was fun and informative. We stayed in RV park across the street. Boot Hill RV. I found a geocache in that fence by the road and met another geocacher.
