Fredricksburg TX - Lone Star Bar and Grill
Wow. This was a fantastic Harvest Host. We got here early and picked a good spot for trailer by the dry creek among large oak trees.. We had view of restaurant seating and stage. We played with goats, watched a Cardinal near our trailer. Nice dinner. We watched the band from our seat then moved to chairs near the trailer… They were a great band. Stand up bass, mandolins, guitars, violins… Great songs. Interesting I didn’t know most of the songs. I think it was a lot of two step songs. Great music! Got up and moved to Austin after this stay.
Goats came to our door. When we left, our truck and trailer was blocked by the goats…. Sharon tried to shoo them away. We goofed around for a while til a girl came by… she got them to easily move.
Apple Fries. Never had these. Are Apple Fries a thing? Crispy, sweet and good apple flavor. Like a good apple pie. I asked, and it’s Granny Smith apples. Totally worth it!

Sharon, we had a great laugh together. I should have had someone take a photo with us both. Big fail.
